Dr. B. Lakshmi Anusha serves as a consultant neurologist at Aster Ramesh Hospital’s main branch in Vijayawada. She holds an MD in General Medicine from RG Kar Medical College, Kolkata and she is a DM in Neurology from Rajiv Gandhi University, Bangalore. Dr. Anusha specializes in stroke management (including thrombolytic therapy) neurocritical care, chronic headaches, epilepsy and movement disorders. She has contributed to both national and international medical journals and is an active member of professional organizations such as the American Academy of Neurology, Indian Epilepsy Society, Indian Academy of Neurology and Indian Stroke Association.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Anusha engages in public education on neurological health. She has participated in informative sessions, including a video discussing migraine management, aiming to raise awareness and understanding of neurological conditions.
Dr. Anusha’s commitment to patient care and active involvement in professional communities, combined with her multilingual abilities underscores her dedication to advancing neurological health.
Dr. Anusha is a distinguished medical professional with a robust academic and clinical background in internal medicine and neurology. She began her academic tenure as an Assistant Professor in MD Medicine at MVJ Medical College and Hospital Bangalore, where she served from September 2016 to June 2017, contributing significantly to medical education and clinical practice.
Following this, she extended her expertise to rural healthcare, serving as a Senior Resident in MD Medicine at Siddhartha Medical College, Vijayawada, from September 2017 to May 2018, where she played a pivotal role in patient care and medical training.
Currently, Dr. Anusha is a Consultant Neurologist at Ramesh Hospitals, a position she has held since 2021. With her vast experience and dedication to patient-centered neurological care, she continues to make a profound impact in the field.
